Penmanship Books was created by writer and performance poet Mahogany L. Browne. As a freelance music and entertainment journalist, Mahogany found the literary world painfully silent and unyielding to the talented poets circulating the country.
Penmanship was created as the answer to the performance poet's publishing problem.
Penmanship’s purpose is to become the anchor for publishing performance poets and live artists with a need to service their huge fan base, sidestepping the red tape and ego driven intiation of the hard to crack literary world.
